Candidates with expertise in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • K-band to W-band/mm-wave component design/integration and characterization,
  • RF systems radio design and systems integration,
  • RF circuit design/layout/assembly,
  • RF simulation/design software including CST/HFFS/COMSOL.

The candidate will support development of meta-imaging capabilities in the W-band (75-110 GHz) for stand-off detection. Responsibilities will include designing, fabricating, and testing prototype devices as part of a larger collaborative effort to demonstrate commercializable imaging devices. The candidate will utilize millimeter-wave test equipment, optical and microwave simulation software, and the SMITH micro-fabriation facilities to support these efforts. The candidate will also be responsible for some amout of supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.
