The metamaterials group and the Duke Quidditch team appreciate Stephen Colbert's reporting on our recent publication regarding the development of a new invisibility cloak. Noted Colbert, "...now the Blue Devils quidditch team will be unstoppable!" The latest cloak, designed by Nathan Landy and published in Nature Materials, demonstrates better cloaking performance due to greater control over the magnetic and electric properties of the metamaterial. It may be a while before our quidditch team reaps the benefits... this cloak works at microwave frequencies.
